Sources Sought VETERANS AFFAIRS, DEPARTMENT OF is seeking a New Wheelchair and Car Transportation service for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. This service is typically used to provide wheeled and hired car transportation for Veteran patients of the main Veteran Affairs Medical Centers (VAMC) and Community Based Out-Patient Clinics (CBOC's) in the Greater Los Angeles area. The contractor will be responsible for providing transportation services 24/7, including holidays, as requested by the Government. AMENDMENT TO PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: This notice is an amendment to Pre-Solicitation Notice 36C26224Q0022 and the associated Request for Quote (RFQ) for Wheelchair and Car Transportation services. 36C26224Q0022 was posted on 11/22/2023 and quotes were originally due on 12/7/2023 at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. The response deadline to this RFQ is now extended to 12/14/2023 at 10:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. The following pages are in response to interested vendor questions. Responses are due by 10:00 Pacific Standard Time December 14, 2023. Point of contact information: Lori Gammage, Contract Specialist, Lorenza.gammage@va.gov. Amendment to the Solicitation: This amendment incorporates the following changes to the RFQ: Refer to D1. Statement of Work Page 30, Driver qualifications Section 4. 4. Driver Qualifications: The Contractor s Wheeled and hired car drivers shall have successfully completed the Standard First Aid courses of the American Red Cross or equivalent. Proof in the form of a certificate that first aid training has been successfully completed and is current shall be available upon request by any VA staff member. Drivers shall be fully trained and licensed in the State California to operate wheeled and hired car vehicles. Drivers shall have a valid CA State Driver s License with a Passenger Endorsement. Drivers shall treat all Veteran patients with courtesy and respect at all times. Prior to award of contract, certifications shall be provided. Verbal and/or physical abuse of VA patients shall not be tolerated and shall be immediately reported to the COR or VAMC Beneficiary Travel section. Updated to: Drivers shall be fully trained and licensed in the State California to operate wheeled and hired car vehicles. Drivers shall have a valid CA State Driver s License. Drivers shall treat all Veteran patients with courtesy and respect at all times. Prior to award of contract, certifications shall be provided.
