The VA Sunshine Healthcare Network (VISN 8) seeks a contractor to design and construct a Mobile Medical Unit for Technology Based Eye Care Services (TECS) within the Orlando VAHCS catchment area. This unit will enhance ophthalmological mobile capabilities for patient care. The vehicle, a Class A RV type (41'-45' with tag axle), must feature two exam rooms, an optical area, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Key design elements include wheelchair ramps, one-directional patient flow, VA logos, and an exterior network connection. The unit requires robust HVAC for extreme temperatures, a 20KW diesel generator, and comprehensive electrical and plumbing systems. Advanced electronics such as an intercom, external camera system, backup camera, and an alarm system with panic buttons are also mandated. All materials must be new, comply with international quality standards, and be free of asbestos, radioactive materials, wood, mold, and fungus.
