The Department of Energy, through the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), is offering a collaboration opportunity to further develop its innovative multi-component, encapsulated concrete mortars known as Concrete Assisted by Particles Sealed Under Large-scale Encapsulation (CAPSULE). This technology aims to address the challenges of repairing aging concrete structures by providing a self-healing solution that effectively manages deep cracks and prevents corrosion, thereby extending the lifespan of concrete infrastructure. The CAPSULE technology is particularly relevant for applications in airfields, civic infrastructure, military bases, and oilfields, and LLNL is seeking industry partners with the capability to commercialize this technology. Interested companies should submit a statement of interest, including their contact information and relevant expertise, to the Innovation and Partnerships Office at LLNL by email or written correspondence.
