The Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Gamry Instruments, Inc. for a Galvanostat/Potentiostat System essential for conducting electrochemical measurements related to fire-retardant formulations used in wildfire-fighting aircraft. The system must include at least four measuring channels, simultaneous current and voltage measurement capabilities, and be controlled via a USB-connected computer with integrated software compatible with Windows, specifically designed for voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. This procurement is critical for enhancing the safety and efficacy of fire-retardants through improved corrosion analysis methodologies, with delivery and installation expected within 30 days of award to NIST in Boulder, Colorado. Interested parties must submit their capabilities in writing to Lisa Stevens at lisa.stevens@nist.gov by the specified response date, as this notice is not a solicitation for proposals.
