The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified architect-engineer firms to provide design services for the Upgrade Facility Steam and Condensate System at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The project aims to address deficiencies in the existing steam distribution system, which includes components dating back to 1949, by creating a redundant steam supply line, redesigning and replacing aged piping, and enhancing overall system efficiency and reliability. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering comprehensive design documentation, conducting site assessments, and ensuring compliance with VA specifications, with the anticipated contract award scheduled for mid-December 2024 and a construction budget estimated between $9 million and $10 million.
