The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is set to issue a funding opportunity in Fall 2024 under its High Performance Computing for Energy Innovation (HPC4EI) initiative, which encompasses the HPC4Manufacturing (HPC4Mfg) and HPC4Materials (HPC4Mtls) programs. This solicitation aims to leverage national laboratory supercomputing resources to enhance manufacturing processes and promote decarbonization efforts within U.S. industry, targeting qualified industry partners for collaborative projects. Eligible applicants include U.S.-based manufacturers and organizations that support them, with a particular emphasis on partnerships with diverse institutions, especially those from disadvantaged communities. Selected projects may receive funding of up to $400,000, contingent upon a 20% contribution from the industry partner, and will focus on computational resources and collaborative work with national laboratories.
