The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is offering a cooperative agreement titled "Tuberculosis Elimination and Laboratory Cooperative Agreement" to support tuberculosis (TB) prevention and control activities at state and local levels. The primary objective of this funding is to enhance public health infrastructure for TB disease surveillance, outbreak response, and laboratory testing, ultimately aiming to reduce TB morbidity and mortality. This initiative is crucial for addressing the public health challenge posed by TB, particularly in areas with high incidence rates, and includes strategies for diagnosis, treatment, epidemiologic surveillance, and public health laboratory strengthening. The estimated total program funding is $374,456,055, with 57 awards expected, and applications must be submitted electronically by September 9, 2024.
