The Bureau of Reclamation is offering grants under the WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency Projects for Fiscal Year 2024 and Fiscal Year 2025, aimed at enhancing water supply sustainability in the Western United States. Eligible applicants include states, tribes, irrigation districts, water districts, and nonprofit conservation organizations that partner with these entities, with a focus on projects that conserve or improve the management of water resources. This initiative aligns with federal priorities, including the Justice40 Initiative, and encourages cost-sharing to maximize the impact of federal funding, which totals approximately $12 million with individual awards ranging from $0 to $125,000. Applications must be submitted electronically by January 14, 2025, and inquiries can be directed to Christina Munoz at bor-sha-fafoa@usbr.gov.
