The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) of the U.S. Department of State is inviting proposals for a cooperative agreement aimed at reforming juvenile justice regulations and policies in El Salvador. The project seeks to strengthen the juvenile justice system by collaborating with key stakeholders, including government offices and judicial entities, to draft a National Juvenile Justice Policy and enhance rehabilitative programs for youth in conflict with the law. This initiative is critical for reducing juvenile recidivism rates and restoring community integrity in El Salvador. Interested organizations must submit their proposals by July 10, 2024, with funding amounts ranging from $450,000 to $700,000. For further inquiries, applicants can contact Tia Allen at AllenLS2@state.gov or Lili Flores at FloresBL@state.gov.
