FAA Aircraft Pilots Workforce Development Grant Program
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is offering the FAA Aircraft Pilots Workforce Development Grant Program, which aims to enhance the U.S. aircraft pilot workforce through approximately $9 million in competitive discretionary grants for fiscal year 2025. The program's objectives include attracting future aircraft pilots and unmanned aircraft systems operators, particularly from underrepresented populations, by funding projects that develop aviation curricula, scholarship programs, and outreach initiatives. Eligible applicants include air carriers, accredited educational institutions, aviation-related nonprofits, and governmental entities, with awards ranging from $0 to $1 million, and a minimum of 20% of the total funding allocated to the Willa Brown Aviation Education Program.
