Grant Opportunity Analysis

The Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is offering approximately $1 billion in competitive grants for the Airport Terminal Program (ATP) under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) for fiscal year 2026. The ATP aims to provide funding for airport terminal and airport-owned Airport Traffic Control Tower development projects, specifically targeting the modernization of aging infrastructure at eligible airports. This funding opportunity is crucial for enhancing the operational efficiency and safety of the nation's airports, which are vital for transportation and economic activity. Interested applicants, including public agencies, private entities, and state agencies owning public-use airports, must submit their applications by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on January 15, 2026, to be considered for funding. For more information, applicants can visit the FAA's website or contact the appropriate Regional Office.
