The Uganda USAID-Kampala is offering a federal grant opportunity titled "Targeting the Learning Crisis," aimed at enhancing educational outcomes in Uganda through partnerships with civil society and non-governmental organizations. This initiative focuses on improving basic and early childhood education, particularly for vulnerable populations, by implementing evidence-based interventions to boost literacy and numeracy among primary school students (P1-P5). With an estimated total program funding of $45 million, the agency plans to award three cooperative agreements, with individual awards ranging from $3 million to $45 million. Interested applicants must submit a five-page concept paper by November 28, 2024, and can direct inquiries to Anita Mbaziira at ambaziira@usaid.gov.
