The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking expressions of interest for a construction contract aimed at expanding the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, through the Sylvan Springs Phase 1A Expansion project. This initiative is designed to increase burial capacity and extend services for an estimated 208,000 veterans in the region for an additional 15 years, with an estimated project cost between $50 million and $100 million and a completion timeline of approximately 912 calendar days. The project involves various construction activities, including site demolition, installation of burial components, and infrastructure improvements, and will utilize a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) to promote efficient procurement and labor stability. Interested firms must submit a Contractor Capability Statement and responses to a PLA questionnaire by January 6, 2025, to Joshua Gibson, Contracting Officer, at Joshua.Gibson2@va.gov.
