The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through the Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is seeking information from vendors regarding handheld chemical and narcotics detection and identification devices as part of its Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Program. The objective is to gather details on commercially available systems capable of identifying illicit materials, particularly opioids and narcotics, which will be utilized by CBP Officers and Agents at various operational locations to enhance border security and combat drug smuggling. Interested vendors are required to submit specifications, documentation, and user references, with responses due by January 28, 2025, at 11 A.M. ET. All submissions must be sent via email to Contracting Officer Aga Frys at aga.frys@cbp.dhs.gov, and no costs incurred in response to this RFI will be reimbursed.
