The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) seeks to contract a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) for the procurement and installation of a specialized water treatment system. The primary objective is to install a reverse osmosis and deionized (RO/DI) water system that adheres to the AAMI ST 108 standard, providing a minimum of 132 gallons per hour for medical equipment in the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System.
The chosen contractor will be responsible for supplying and expertly installing the RO/DI system, ensuring its seamless integration with the existing water infrastructure. They must also address any necessary pretreatment and power requirements. The VA emphasizes the importance of remote monitoring capabilities and solutions that extend the lifespan of RO filters.
To be considered for this total SDVOSB set-aside, interested parties must be registered in the VetCert database and the System for Award Management (SAM), meeting the specified size standard of 1,000 employees. The VA encourages contractors to conduct a site visit prior to submitting their applications.
The submission deadline is firmly set for 10:00 CDT on 13 August 2024. Interested parties must carefully review the solicitation document and provide the required information, including detailed technical and pricing schedules.
The VA will evaluate proposals based on their ability to meet the stringent requirements and will prioritize solutions that enhance filter longevity. For any clarifications or questions, contractors must email the designated point of contact by the specified deadline.
James Hunt, the primary contact, is available for any further information at james.hunt2@va.gov.
