The Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking responses for the design and fabrication of custom silicon carbide transistors on pre-diced 5 x 5 mm² substrates. The primary objective is to develop transistors that will enhance research into quantum-based magnetic field sensors, specifically aimed at improving SWAP-C optimization across various applications. The transistors must be fabricated using NIST-provided substrates and adhere to strict specifications, including the ability to withstand a voltage of 20 V for 10 minutes without failure. Interested parties should direct their inquiries to Cielo Ibarra at cielo.ibarra@nist.gov, with questions due by July 21, 2025. This notice is a sources sought notice and does not constitute a request for proposals or a commitment to award a contract.
