The Department of Homeland Security, specifically the US Coast Guard, is seeking quotations for the procurement of the injector component of the ships service diesel generator. This component, manufactured by Cummins with part number 4955149, is used in the ships service diesel generator to ensure proper fuel injection. The Coast Guard requires a quantity of 35 injectors, each individually packaged in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1E Method 10. The packaging must be cushioned or secured to prevent damage during transportation and must be packed in an appropriately sized ASTM-D6251 Type III, Class 1 heavy-duty double wall fiberboard box. Each package must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129R, except barcoded in accordance with ISO/IEC-16388-2007, Code 39 symbology. The items will be inspected upon delivery to the Coast Guard warehouse, and failure to meet the packaging, packing, marking, and barcoding requirements may result in rejection and delay in payment. The delivery location is the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore, MD. The closing date for receipt of quotes is January 18, 2024, at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time.
