The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is forecasting a cooperative agreement opportunity aimed at supporting sustainable, accessible, integrated, and quality laboratory systems for HIV/TB and related health threats in the Republic of Kenya under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This initiative seeks to strengthen Kenya's health system by providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health, county governments, and PEPFAR-funded partners, ensuring universal access to high-quality diagnostic services for the population, particularly for those living with HIV. The anticipated funding for the first year is approximately $6,000,000, with an expected two awards to be made, and applications must be submitted electronically by February 17, 2025, with an estimated award date of September 30, 2025.
