CyberCorps(R) Scholarship for Service
Grant Opportunity Analysis
The National Science Foundation (NSF) is offering the CyberCorps® Scholarship for Service program, aimed at recruiting and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals to support federal, state, local, and tribal government cybersecurity missions. Eligible institutions of higher education (IHEs) can submit proposals to establish or continue scholarship programs in cybersecurity, with a focus on increasing the number of qualified candidates and enhancing the national capacity for cybersecurity education and research. This initiative is critical in addressing the vulnerabilities in cyberspace and aims to produce a diverse workforce capable of tackling complex cybersecurity challenges. The program has an estimated total funding of $20 million, with individual awards ranging from $2 million to $5 million, and proposals are due by July 15, 2025. Eligible Applicants
*Who May Submit Proposals: Proposals may only be submitted by the following: - Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) accredited in, and having a campus located in the US, acting on behalf of their faculty members.Community colleges are eligible only as sub-awardees of the partnering four-year SFS institutions as described in the Program Description section. *Who May Serve as PI: As of the submission deadline, PIs, co-PIs, or other senior project personnel must hold primary, full-time, paid appointments in research or teaching positions at US-based campuses of institutions eligible to submit to this solicitation (see above), with exceptions granted for family or medical leave, as determined by the submitting institution.
