The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is offering grants through the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) to support projects that publish historical records in collaborative digital editions. The primary objective is to create searchable online editions of diverse historical documents, particularly those that highlight underrepresented communities, including African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, and Native American histories, while fostering public engagement and research in U.S. democracy and culture. With a total estimated program funding of $3.5 million, the NHPRC expects to award up to 28 grants, each with a maximum of $125,000 per year, with applications due by November 7, 2024. Interested applicants can contact Julie Fisher at Julie.Fisher@nara.gov for further information and should review the detailed requirements available at the NHPRC's official announcement page.
