The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is inviting applications for a cooperative agreement under the Ukraine Mental Health Initiative for National Development (U-MIND) to enhance mental health systems in Ukraine. The initiative aims to establish a comprehensive, evidence-based mental health framework that addresses both immediate and long-term needs, thereby fostering well-being and economic engagement among Ukrainians affected by ongoing conflict. With an anticipated funding amount of up to $50 million over five years, the program emphasizes increasing access to quality mental health care, professionalizing the workforce, and generating empirical evidence for effective interventions. Interested applicants must submit concept papers by January 15, 2025, and can direct inquiries to Arpi Shotigian at ashotigian@usaid.gov.
