The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking feedback through a Request for Information (RFI) regarding a planned research initiative focused on livestock systems in low- and middle-income countries. The objective is to gather insights from various stakeholders, including NGOs, researchers, and implementation partners, to enhance sustainable growth in livestock systems, specifically addressing five thematic areas: feeds and forages, animal health and welfare, climate change, human health, and enabling factors such as social inclusion and policy. This initiative underscores USAID's commitment to informed decision-making and strategic investment in agricultural development, with input due by November 1, 2024, and a live feedback webinar scheduled for October 8, 2024. Interested parties can submit their responses via email to livestockresearch@usaid.gov, and for further inquiries, they may contact Kyle Davis at kydavis@usaid.gov.
