The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking input through a Request for Information (RFI) for the development of a new landscape-scale greenhouse gas (GHG) calculator tool focused on Agriculture, Forestry, and Other Land Use (AFOLU). The objective of this initiative is to gather recommendations and insights on the feasibility and design of a tool that will assist USAID Missions in tracking and reporting climate indicators, thereby aligning with the USAID Climate Strategy aimed at mitigating emissions through nature-based solutions. This RFI is particularly relevant for organizations with expertise in GHG calculations and geospatial monitoring, as the new tool is expected to enhance capabilities for emissions tracking and project impact monitoring. Responses to the RFI are due by December 30, 2022, at 5:00 PM EST, and should be submitted via email to shwhite@usaid.gov. For further inquiries, interested parties can contact Tequilla N. Wheeler at 240-838-1679.
