The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) issued an Annual Program Statement (APS), designated as Knowledge SUCCESS, to fund one or multiple grants aimed at enhancing global health and development outcomes through improved knowledge management (KM) in family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH). This APS intends to increase the utilization of evidence-based information in health programming and enhance coordination among development actors. The goal is to build sustainable capacity for knowledge exchange and collaboration, ultimately advancing self-reliance. Funding is projected at approximately $35 million, with two possible awards allowing for distinct operational focuses within three Intermediate Results (IRs): accessibility of critical health knowledge, facilitation of knowledge exchange, and building local capacities for KM. Organizations—both U.S. and international—are encouraged to apply, emphasizing the importance of transformative gender and youth integration strategies. The application process includes submitting a concept paper, evaluated based on specific criteria related to organizational capacity, innovative approaches to KM challenges, and the ability to meet priority needs. A co-creation workshop will further refine ideas and partnerships before new awards are potentially made. Overall, this APS signifies USAID's ongoing commitment to optimizing health outcomes through enhanced knowledge sharing and evidence utilization.
