The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering a funding opportunity through the Innovation in Behavioral Health (IBH) Model, aimed at enhancing integrated care for adults with moderate to severe mental health conditions and substance use disorders. This initiative seeks to implement a value-based payment model that aligns Medicaid and Medicare services, thereby improving access, quality of care, and promoting health equity among beneficiaries. The program, which will run from January 2025 to December 2032, has a total funding amount of up to $60 million, with individual awards reaching up to $7.5 million for selected state Medicaid agencies. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by September 9, 2024, and can direct inquiries to IBHModel@cms.hhs.gov.
