The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is offering a funding opportunity for the establishment of Carbon Capture, Removal, and Conversion Test Centers, aimed at advancing technologies critical for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This initiative invites applications for funding across three areas of interest: establishing test centers at power generation facilities, enhancing existing carbon capture facilities, and developing test centers within cement manufacturing, with a minimum cost share requirement ranging from 20% to 30%. The program is essential for reducing CO2 emissions and validating the performance of carbon capture technologies in real-world settings. Up to $127.5 million is available for awards, with a submission deadline of October 31, 2024. Interested applicants can contact Rueben J. Kerns at Rueben.Kerns@netl.doe.gov for further information.
