The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is forecasting a funding opportunity aimed at developing and testing pilot prevention interventions to reduce sexual risk behavior and enhance PrEP use among HIV-negative Black and Hispanic substance-using gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM). This initiative seeks to support the design and implementation of two behavioral interventions, one targeting Black MSM and the other targeting Hispanic MSM, specifically focusing on those who report substance use before or during unprotected anal sex. The funding, which ranges from $400,000 to $475,000 per award with an estimated total program funding of $2,850,000, is intended to align with the goals of the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative and other federal prevention efforts. Interested applicants can reach out to Amy Yang at AYang@cdc.gov or by phone at 404-718-8836, with applications due by February 13, 2025, and awards expected to be announced by August 15, 2025.
