The U.S. Mission to Georgia, under the University Capacity Building Program (UCBP), is seeking proposals from U.S. non-profit organizations and accredited American higher education institutions to manage a professional development program for Georgian university administrators, development and grant officers, and higher education decision-makers. The program aims to assist Georgian universities in building a research administration and development infrastructure, promoting innovation and collaboration with various stakeholders to improve the economy of Georgia. The program will include online classes, a study tour, online consultations, and a reciprocal visit of US instructors to Georgia. The program objectives include enhancing the university organizational environment, optimizing best practices and organizational structures, and establishing a network of professionals. The program also aims to institutionalize research development/grant offices in universities, establish a network of professionals, and nurture entrepreneurial ecosystems at universities. The proposal should include a detailed program timeline and budget for translation, travel, and other expenses. The project expects to provide partner institutions with the knowledge and capacity to develop a successful research administration and development office, enhance research capacity, establish international partnerships, and collaborate on joint research proposals and programs. The target audience includes university research administrators and development officers, higher education administrators, researchers, and policy makers.
