The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is offering grants through the Lifespan Respite Care Program to support state agencies in establishing or re-establishing coordinated respite care systems for family caregivers. Eligible applicants include state governments that either have not previously received a grant under this program or are returning states looking to revive dormant programs, with a focus on delivering services to caregivers of individuals across all age groups and disabilities. This initiative is crucial for enhancing support for caregivers, ensuring access to respite services, and targeting underserved populations. ACL anticipates awarding approximately two cooperative agreements, with funding amounts ranging from $200,000 to $235,000, and the application period is expected to open in March 2025, closing by the end of May 2025.
