The Agency for International Development (USAID) is preparing to release an Annual Program Statement (APS) for the Infectious Disease (with Epidemic or Pandemic potential) Standby Capacity for Humanitarian Emergency. This initiative aims to enhance the technical and operational readiness of response actors to effectively address infectious disease outbreaks that necessitate a Level 3 IASC activation, which are declared Public Health Emergencies of International Concern (PHEIC). The APS will focus on critical multi-sectoral capacity gaps and may involve activities such as contingency planning, toolkit development, training, and coordination for rapid response efforts. Interested applicants should monitor the Grants.gov website for the APS release and can direct inquiries to the Agreement Officer at SOLOFDA1788@ofda.gov. Note that this is a pre-solicitation notice, and no applications will be accepted until the APS is officially published.
