The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking proposals for a Firm Fixed-Price Contract to undertake the Gate 6 Pedestrian Path Improvements at St. Elizabeths West Campus in Southeast Washington, D.C. The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety through the installation of solar-powered LED traffic signs and warning signals, which includes replacing existing signage and adding new light poles with battery backups to alert pedestrians of approaching vehicle traffic. This procurement underscores the government's commitment to public safety and infrastructure improvement while promoting small business participation, as it is set aside for total small businesses with a contract value estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. Interested firms must register with the System for Award Management (SAM) and attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting on November 18, 2024, with the RFP expected to be released shortly thereafter.
