The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires advanced genetic sequencing and analysis services for a project involving lichen samples. The main objective is to identify the genes expressed in lichen mycobiont and photobiont samples exposed to specific environmental conditions.
The successful contractor will be responsible for transporting irreplaceable biological samples while maintaining RNA integrity. They will then perform RNA extraction, sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis using Illumina NovaSeq X technology, aligning the data with STAR and quantifying transcripts with salmon. The contractor must also participate in a kick-off meeting and provide regular updates as required.
To be considered, applicants should have experience in RNA extraction and sequencing services, with a focus on dedicated use of a full 10B flow cell for 72 samples. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will evaluate applications based on their ability to meet the project's objectives and deadlines, with particular attention to the quality of the proposed services. Past performance, technical merit, and cost are key evaluation criteria.
Interested parties should refer to the attached solicitation document for detailed requirements and expectations. Applications are due by 05 August 2024, with a revised deadline of 07 August 2024 for submissions. For clarification or questions, contact CERL Contract Team at CERL-CT-QUOTES@USACE.ARMY.MIL.
