The Department of Defense, through the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), is conducting market research for the procurement of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Expeditionary Disassembly Tool (EDT). The MCSC aims to acquire 51 EDT systems that utilize commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items, designed to protect EOD technicians from explosive hazards while enabling safe disassembly of ordnance components in field environments. This initiative is critical for supporting Level 1 and Level 2 ordnance exploitation procedures, minimizing logistical burdens during deployment. Interested vendors must submit their responses to the Request for Information (RFI) numbered M67854-24-I-5017 by October 23, 2024, and can direct inquiries to Corinne Beadle at corinne.beadle.civ@usmc.mil or Jamie Fullinwider at jamie.fullinwider@usmc.mil.
