The Department of Agriculture, through its Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), intends to award a sole source contract for the procurement of 20 Track Tag King unit GPS ear tags for a Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) research project in Nebraska. This initiative aims to enhance CWD detection and control strategies by collaborating with Colorado State University and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, utilizing the unique capabilities of the Track Tag King units, which provide direct satellite connectivity and real-time tracking of free-ranging mule deer. The total estimated value of the purchase order is $34,000, with responses due by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on January 13, 2025.
