Energy, Department Of
The Department of Energy requires a new Carrier Model 30RC Chiller to replace existing failed machinery at Building 902 (B902) in the Brookhaven National Laboratory, located in Upton, New York. This is a total small business set-aside contract, and the main objective is to obtain a replacement chiller unit with specific technical specifications. The desired unit should have a 162-ton capacity, variable speed fans, and BACnet IP compatibility. The successful vendor will be responsible for delivering and installing the new chiller in alignment with the provided technical requirements. They must also commit to a one-year labor warranty, extending the standard warranty period to five years. Additionally, vendors must supply their equipment and protective gear and ensure their personnel are trained and available for prompt service visits. This procurement emphasizes time sensitivity, aiming to meet the May 30, 2025 deadline for equipment delivery and ancillary services related to the replacement project. Vendors are expected to adhere to stringent quality assurance standards and provide the necessary documentation to certify compliance. Interested parties should provide a comprehensive quote for the supply and installation of the replacement chiller, adhering to the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation. Quotes should be submitted by the deadline, August 5, 2024, and will be evaluated based on price and adherence to the stated requirements. To clarify, this opportunity seeks a straightforward delivery and installation solution for the chiller unit, and vendors should not assume any additional installation or training requirements. For tax compliance purposes, vendors must provide the required certification forms, including Form W-9 for domestic vendors and Form W-8BEN-E for foreign entities. This applies to potential contractors, who should also be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). The Department of Energy prefers payment via automated clearing house (ACH) credit entries, so vendors should be prepared to authorize this method if selected. Any questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Arpan Ghimiray via email by the specified deadline.
