The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is preparing to solicit proposals for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the minor construction project of expanding the parking ramp at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. This project involves constructing a two-level vertical expansion on the existing three-level parking structure, which includes the addition of a new stair tower with elevators, reconfiguration of adjacent parking and roadways, and the installation of a solar array canopy. The contractor will also be responsible for providing two off-campus parking lots within a 15-minute drive to accommodate displaced parking during construction. The solicitation is set as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, with an estimated construction cost between $20 million and $50 million, and a project duration of approximately 730 days from the notice to proceed. Proposals are expected to be due in January 2025, and all inquiries must be directed to Contract Specialist Thomas Council via email at Thomas.Council@va.gov.
