The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from potential sources capable of providing an infrared supercontinuum laser as part of its Strategic and Emerging Research Initiatives (SERI) program. The laser must cover a wavelength range of 3.5 µm to 11 µm, be continuously tunable, and have a total optical power exceeding 10 mW, which is critical for the development of new infrared sensors for drug identification and quantification. Interested parties are encouraged to respond with their capabilities and relevant information by contacting Nina Lin or Tracy Retterer via email, as the government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to Thorlabs, Inc. if no other capable sources are identified. Responses should be submitted as soon as possible, preferably before the closing date, and must not include proprietary information.
