The Department of Energy, through the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), is seeking qualified subcontractors for the procurement of a replacement High-flux X-Ray Diffraction Instrument. The objective is to identify companies capable of providing an instrument that includes a rotating Cu K-alpha x-ray source, a four-axis cradle for sample manipulation, and compatibility with existing SmartLab components, while also adhering to stringent safety requirements. This instrument is vital for multi-user access and high-quality measurements of powder and thin-film samples, enhancing the laboratory's analytical capabilities. Interested parties must submit a capability statement, project responses, rough cost estimates, and lead times by November 22, 2024, to Paul Wilke at ASP.Responses@nrel.gov, as part of NREL's market research effort to explore small business participation.
