Special Notice HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF HRSA OPTN Industry Day: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is hosting the OPTN Industry Day on July 21, 2023. This event aims to explore approaches for modernizing the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN). The OPTN is seeking to establish a multiple-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, known as the Transition IDIQ, to ensure patient safety and uninterrupted organ system operations. The Industry Day will be a hybrid event, allowing both in-person and virtual participation. Interested vendors are encouraged to attend and collaborate with HRSA to make this potential contract successful. See attached"OPTN IDIQ PWS for July Industry Day". The OPTN Industry Day is scheduled for July 21, 2023, from 9:30AM to 12:30PM Eastern Time (ET). This will be a hybrid, in-person, and virtual event. HRSA is exploring several approaches related to modernizing the OPTN. The initial foundation of this exploration is the feasibility and functionality of a multiple-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with goals of ensuring patient safety by maintaining uninterrupted organ system operations, and continuity of OPTN functionality. This future contract is referenced as the Transition IDIQ. During this Industry Day session, we hope to generate interest amongst industry and stakeholders by sharing information and collaborating with interested vendors to hear your ideas on how to make this potential contract successful. The purpose of this event is to obtain feedback from industry members regarding the information provided in the White Paper. The event will feature speakers from the Executive Office of the President and the agencies involved. The goal is to shape the Federal government's approach to buying PPE and support the domestic PPE manufacturing industry. The event is closed to the press and will not discuss specific procurement matters. The industry convening event will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 2:00-2:45 PM EST in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. Interested participants are required to register by April 29, 2024, using the provided registration link. Questions related to the session should be sent to miacouncil.support@gsa.gov with the subject titled "PPE Industry Convening Event May 1, 2024" and the company name.
