Description

Sources Sought DEPT OF DEFENSE is seeking potential sources to provide and install a temporary standby generator system for Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Japan. The generator system must be capable of supplying a minimum of 6 Megawatts (MW) of power to existing substation facilities in CFAY. It should also have a spare transformer, a battery storage system, and the ability to parallel to existing Frequency Converters. Additionally, the system must be able to supply a minimum of 1.5 MW for a fire protection building. Support items such as fuel tanks, auxiliary equipment, operational training, troubleshooting support, periodic maintenance, and coordination with the off-base utility company are also required. The estimated period of service for the system is approximately two years after installation. Contractors must be authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and comply with all laws and regulations. Interested sources should submit a Contractor Information Form by 7 April 2024.
