The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Air Force, is seeking interested institutions or contractors to provide Combat Air Force Airmanship Services through a Request for Information (RFI). The primary objective is to identify contractors with aircraft suitable for aviation operations that can support flying currency for qualified USAF pilots, with services required to be accessible within 30 minutes of any USAF Fighter Wing. This initiative is crucial for maintaining pilot proficiency and enhancing airmanship without the need for major modifications to the aircraft, which must comply with FAA regulations for Civil Aircraft Operations. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a two-page description of their capabilities, including the number of aircraft and any relevant FAA Airworthiness Certificates, to the primary contact, Jeremy Young, at jeremy.young.19@us.af.mil.
