The Department of Agriculture, specifically the Forest Service's Pacific Northwest Regional Office, is seeking qualified providers to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the delivery of NWCG wildland fire training to non-agency personnel. The objective of this partnership is to ensure that all resources utilized in fire suppression incidents within the Pacific Northwest meet or exceed the training, experience, and physical fitness standards outlined in the NWCG Standards for Wildland Fire Position Qualifications. This initiative is critical for enhancing wildfire preparedness and coordination in the region, as it establishes a framework for training and certification that aligns with national standards. Interested providers must submit their applications by October 31, 2024, to the specified address in Redmond, Oregon, as email submissions will not be accepted.
