The Department of Defense, through the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, is seeking public input regarding the potential use of Project Labor Agreements (PLA) for the construction of the P1556 10th Marines Maintenance and Operations Complex at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This construction project, which is anticipated to have a total cost between $25 million and $100 million, will involve various facilities including controlled humidity warehouses, maintenance shops, and storage areas, with a projected performance period of approximately 1,226 calendar days. The RFI aims to gather insights from stakeholders, including contractors and unions, on their experiences with PLAs, the availability of specialized labor, and the implications of implementing a PLA for this project. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their responses to the attached questionnaire via email to James Godwin at james.a.godwin41.civ@us.navy.mil by 2:00 P.M. EST on November 12, 2024.
