The U.S. Air Force is seeking sources capable of remanufacturing F118 Oil Lubricating Tanks, a critical component in their aircraft engine fleet. This is a key maintenance operation, as these tanks are essential to ensure the reliable performance of Air Force aircraft.
To meet the Air Force's requirements, vendors must demonstrate their capability to restore the tanks to their original life expectancy, following precise military specifications and using approved materials. The selected contractor will be expected to provide all necessary materials and components, with the government supplying the tanks requiring remanufacture.
The Department of Defense aims to establish a contract for a yearly supply of five refurbished units and encourages businesses of all sizes to respond. Potential vendors must submit a Source Approval Request, detailing their capabilities and experience, for consideration by the Engineering Support Activity.
Responses are due by September 9, 2024. Interested parties should contact Carrie Brown or Brock May for further information. The Air Force's goal is to ensure a competitive acquisition process for this vital maintenance work.
