The Statement of Work (SOW) for the Armory RFID project outlines the requirement for an RFID system at the 60 SFS/S4A to improve weapon and ammunition inventory and issuance processes. The current manual method takes 35-50 minutes per transaction, and the RFID system aims to reduce this by 20 minutes, enhancing response times for base defense. The system needs to be compatible with NIPR and SIPR networks, requiring Air Force Security Control Assessor approval due to sensitive information. It will provide real-time data, eliminate paper-based tracking (reducing OPSEC risk), and include cloud storage. The contractor must provide three concurrent back office user accesses, three mobile user accesses, NIPR/IL6 FedRAMP hosting, production and staging server installation, configuration, implementation, and onsite training. Additionally, the project requires 492 non-metal passive RFID tags, 642 ceramic passive RFID tags for rifles, 465 ceramic passive RFID tags for handguns, one long-range Zebra handheld RFID/barcode scanner, two RFID desktop USB scanners, and four USB CaC readers. Post-award, coordination will be with TSgt Pizarro, and Air Force Security Control Assessor approval for NIPR/SIPR usage is a mandatory qualification/certification for quote submission.
The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis AFB, CA, has issued a Sources Sought notice for a Brand Name or Equal requirement for the Appricity Enterprise Asset and Inventory Management System, Version 7.x.
