The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking proposals for the development of the Space Weather Geostationary Series (SW GEO) Spacecraft, aimed at enhancing the United States' capabilities in monitoring space weather phenomena. This initiative, part of the Space Weather Next (SW Next) program, focuses on operational observation platforms that will provide critical measurements of solar activity and its effects on Earth, thereby supporting the National Space Weather Strategy and the 2020 PROSWIFT Act. The SW GEO series is expected to launch its first observatory in September 2035, with a planned operational lifespan of seven years, and emphasizes the need for innovative and cost-effective solutions to ensure high data availability. Interested parties can contact Tammy Seidel at tammy.e.seidel@nasa.gov for further details regarding this opportunity.
