The Department of Education is preparing to release a pre-solicitation for the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Direct to Phase II program for 2025, aimed at supporting the development of new education technology products. Eligible for-profit small businesses and partners are invited to submit proposals for funding of up to $1,000,000 over two years to advance existing evidence-based innovations in education technology, with a focus on preparing these products for large-scale implementation and commercialization. This initiative is part of the ED/IES SBIR program, which seeks to stimulate technological innovation and enhance the role of small businesses in addressing educational challenges.
