    The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Air Force, intends to award a sole source contract for UC24 Exercise Ambulance Transportation to Medic Ambulance Service, Inc. This contract is in accordance with FAR 13.106(b) Soliciting from a Single Source. The purpose of this contract is to provide emergency and stand-by Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance services and transportation for the UC24 Exercise.
    The UC24 Exercise requires ambulance services that are compatible with the exercise requirements. In Solano County, California, there are only two authorized ambulance providers for emergency 9-1-1 calls: Vacaville Fire Department and Medic Ambulance. Medic Ambulance is the only authorized provider for BLS interfacility transports in Solano County. Therefore, Medic Ambulance Service, Inc. has been identified as the only approved option for this requirement.
    This notice serves as a notification of the intent to award a sole source contract and is published for informational purposes only. It is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations or responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.
