    Special Notice DEPT OF DEFENSE DEPT OF THE ARMY: This notice is for the Army Project Manager Soldier Survivability Program Executive Office Soldier Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA sets forth research areas of interest to Project Manager Soldier Survivability (SSV) and is issued under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The purpose of PM SSV is to provide enhanced protection, individual equipment, and aviation life support capabilities to Soldiers, ensuring combat overmatch and mission execution. The BAA identifies three Product Managers under PM SSV: Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PM SPE), Product Manager Air Warrior (PM AW), and Product Manager Soldier Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM SCIE). PM SPE focuses on armor protection, PM AW develops advanced equipment for aircrews, and PM SCIE provides clothing and equipment for Soldiers in changing environments.
