The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Army, is seeking qualified contractors to provide coating services for 17,600 sets of grenade tops and bottoms, adhering to specific military standards. The contractor will be responsible for applying a conversion coating that meets the requirements outlined in MIL-STD-171 and MIL-C-5541-Type II, Class 1A, ensuring that all components are properly coated to provide an oxidation barrier essential for Army readiness. The deadline for the completion of this project is projected for June 1, 2025, with the requirement that parts must be coated within seven days of machining.
